Peggy Milligan Perkins

Graveside services for Peggy Milligan Perkins, 71, of Lufkin will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pollok Cemetery with Brother Keith Bickley officiating.

Mrs. Perkins was born October 29, 1947 in Madisonville, South Dakota to the late Dorothy (Cunningham) and Elmer Milligan, and died Monday, December 31, 2018 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Perkins was a supervisor at Lufkin State School. She was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks. Going to church and classic country music was her passion. She loved to travel with her husband, Larry, in their RV and traveled throughout the United States. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and playing word games. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Perkins was a member of Pollok Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, John Larry Perkins, Sr. of Lufkin; daughter, Stacey Brown and husband Buddy of Lufkin; son, John Perkins, Jr. and wife Tammy of Pollok; grandchildren, Ashley Perkins of Central, Autumn Perkins of Lufkin, Alyk Perkins of Central, Payden Perkins, Kaysen Perkins, and Khloe Perkins, all of Pollok; great-grandchildren, Lorenzo Hernandez of Hudson and Colt Toll of Central; brother, Lonnie Milligan and wife Cindy of Round Rock and David Milligan and wife Linda of Porterville, California; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tommy Milligan; and sister, Sharron Hevle.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
