Pauline Farr Young

Funeral services for Pauline Farr Young, 89, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Drew Weber officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Young was born August 12, 1934 in Houston, Mississippi to the late Lucille and Paul Westbrook Farr, and died Saturday, March 23, 2024 in Lufkin, Texas.

Mrs. Young had resided in Lufkin for more than 50 years and retired as an Executive Assistant after 25 years of service with S.W. Henderson, Jr. She was active in The Pilot Club of Lufkin and the Anthony Smith Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR). She was a longtime member of Lufkin First United Methodist Church and was a faithful member of the choir.

Survivors include her sons, Chuck Young and wife Terri of Nederland, Paul F. Young of Houston; grandchildren and their spouses, Jesse and Victoria Young of Nederland, Hayley and Robby Parks of Port Neches; two great-granddaughters; sisters-in-law, Sally Farris, Karen Stone, Ann McMahan, Sandra Young; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 58 years, Charles H. Young.

Pallbearers will be Jon Farris, Mike Farris, Doug Simmons, Vince McMahan, Jesse Young, and Robby Parks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Houston and SE Texas Chapter, 6055 s. Loop E., Houston, Texas 77087 or to the charity of your choice.

The family would like to express special thanks to the caring staff at the PineCrest Lottie Temple unit.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
