Graveside services for Pauline Shoemaker, 81, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, August 9, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in Fielder Memorial Cemetery with Brother Kaice Farhat officiating.
Mrs. Shoemaker was born March 22, 1945 in Lufkin to the late Lois (Holloway) and Jimmy Cook, and died Thursday, August 6, 2026 at her residence.
Mrs. Shoemaker was a lifelong resident of Lufkin. She dedicated her life to loving and caring for her family. She loved decorating her home and cooking for her family and friends. She cared immensely for those she loved and was known for calling each one every day to check on them. Her grandson, Chase, was her pride and joy and she especially enjoyed the time she spent with him. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughter, Denise Shoemaker of Lufkin; grandson, Chase Serrano of Lufkin; sister, Aline Maddux and husband Floyd; brothers, Glenn Cook and wife Lydia, Danny Cook, Dennis Cook; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harry Wayne Shoemaker.
Pallbearers will be Kendall Bryant, Chris Maddux, Devin Cook, Matthew Cook, Deon Calhoun, and Wesley Cook.
