Pauline Bledsoe

Funeral services for Pauline Bledsoe, 77, of Huntington will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Lamar Denby officiating. Interment will follow in Huntington Cemetery.

Mrs. Bledsoe was born February 13, 1946 in Durant, Oklahoma to the late Dessie (Pierce) and Clyde Sheffield, and passed Saturday, January 20, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Bledsoe worked as a Teachers Aide and Librarian at Huntington Elementary for 43 years. She loved gardening, cooking, entertaining family, dancing, fishing, and camping. She was Tommy’s biggest fan. Mrs. Bledsoe loved her church, Highway Missionary Baptist Church, where she had been a member for many years.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Tommy Bledsoe of Huntington; daughters and son-in-law, Cindy and Mark Saldana of Lufkin and Shawnda Franklin of Hudson; grandchildren, Chandler Bledsoe, Andrea Saldana, and Mark Andrew Saldana; sister, Tenna Dilday of Huntington; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Katie Sheffield of Pangburn, Arkansas; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Randy Bledsoe; brother, Leroy Sheffield; and sisters, Imogene Woodall and Sally Milligan.

Pallbearers will be Willie Ricks, Adam Dilday, Jody Mitchell, Taylor Dilday, Todd Ricks, Shawn Ricks, and Collin Castleberry.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon prior to the services.
