Patty "Pat" Newburn Walker

Graveside services for Patty “Pat” Newburn Walker, 88, of Lufkin will be held Friday, January 10, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Jarratt Cemetery in Jacksonville with Brother Wayne Roberson officiating.

Ms. Walker was born September 11, 1931 in Jacksonville, Texas to the late Lela (Bounds) and Choyce Newburn, and died Sunday, January 5, 2020 in a local nursing home.

Ms. Walker was a professional businesswoman who owned her own secretarial service in Houston. She had resided in Lufkin for two years, spending a lot of time with her sister Mary Joyce. Ms. Walker enjoyed music and played the piano in her younger years. She was well-traveled, having visited Greece, Paris and Germany, and enjoyed Mediterranean cruises. Ms. Walker was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her sister, Mary Joyce Newburn Gandy of Lufkin; nephew, Richard Lewis and wife Charlyn of Wheatland, Wyoming; and stepson, Chris Walker and wife Pam of Arlington.
