Patsy Whitley Riggs

Funeral services for Patsy Whitley Riggs, 68, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Riggs was born March 2, 1950 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Ruth Adell (Minton) and A.B. White, and died Saturday, September 1, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Riggs was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. She retired from Brookshire Brothers following 31 years of employment. She loved playing piano, spending time with family and friends, taking cruises, and watching her great-grandchildren rodeo. She also enjoyed watching motocross. Mrs. Riggs was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Brad Stone of Huntington; sons and daughter-in-law, Billy and Angie Whitley of Huntington and Mason White of Hudson; grandchildren and spouses, Orrin and Kaela Pinner, Hunter and Presley Whitley and Parker Whitley; great-grandchildren, Brax and Bristol Pinner; sister, Rita Ferguson of Lufkin; sister-in-law, Carolyn White of Hudson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Riggs; brothers, Kenneth White and Sammy White; and brother-in-law, James Ferguson.

Pallbearers will be Robert Grimes, Robert Whitley, Steve Holland, Derek Linton, Chuck White, Mason White, and Stephen White.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
