When they moved to Lufkin in 1971, Patsy went to work at the Angelina County Health Department. She was the Administrative Secretary there for 35 years – seeing them from a 2-room clinic above Thompson Pharmacy to their current location on Hill Street.
Patsy loved spending time with family and grandkids, and planting flowers and trees around her yard. She enjoyed playing Double Pinochle in marathons!
She is survived by son, Steve; daughter, Melissa; granddaughter, Jennifer Seely and her husband Matt; stepson, Jerry Cooper; great-grandkids, Cooper, Caleb and Campbell Seely; daughter-in-law, Pam Cooper; six step great-grandchildren; and seven step great-great-grandchildren.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Woody; son, Duke; stepson Michael; and granddaughter, Jody Jackson.
Patsy donated her remains to Baylor School of Medicine. The remains will be interred at Blue Springs Cemetery in Etoile.
In lieu of flowers, she asked a flowering shrub be planted in her memory.
