Patricia Ann Bowers Wilz

Graveside Services for Patricia Ann Bowers Wilz, 76, of Hudson will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Brother Matt Tatum officiating.

Ms. Wilz was born to the late Mary “Cecil” (Bell) and Rueben George Bowers Sr. on December 11, 1946 in Lufkin. She died May 22, 2023 under the loving care of Vantage Hospice in Texas City.

Ms. Wilz was a lifelong resident of Hudson. She worked for many years at the Lufkin State Supported Living Center and was the longtime manager of Bowers Mobile Home Park. Ms. Wilz loved classic western shows and country music, her dogs she owned throughout her lifetime, and Jesus. She was a proud Army mom and Army grandma. More importantly, Ms. Wilz was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her beloved sons, Ken Flournoy, Jr. and his wife Nicole and Jon Patrick Flournoy, all of Puyallup, Washington, Jeff Thompson of Lufkin; eight grandchildren, Wayne, Wendi, Weston, Wynter, Jackie, all of Washington, Josh, Tyler and River, all of Texas; 13 great-grandchildren; best friend, Janey Ramsey; one very special aunt; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rube and Cecil Bowers; sister, Iva Linda Bowers; and brother, R.G. Bowers, Jr.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Mom’s hospice team Trish, Monica and Rick with Vantage Hospice in Houston.
