Patricia "Patty" Bacon

Funeral services for Patricia “Patty” Bacon, 84, of Corrigan will be held Friday, January 9, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Corrigan Chapel with Robert Raif officiating. Interment will follow in the Stryker Cemetery.

Mrs. Bacon was born September 28, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Stelle Laverne (McComic) and William “Bill” Louden, and passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Bacon had a passion for sewing and quilting, specially making Bulldog sweatshirts in the 80’s. She found joy in gardening, tending to her flowers and plants. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who gave unconditional love, wisdom, and warmth always putting her family first. Mrs. Bacon also enjoyed the company of her two cats.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Ashley “Shorty” Bacon; daughter, Rebecca Mara of Lufkin, Texas; sons, Eric Bewley of Fort Collins, Colorado and Patrick Bewley of Lufkin, Texas; grandchildren, Zackery Mara of Hanford, California, Andrew Mara of Lufkin, Texas, and Natalie Bewley and Milla Bewley both of Fort Collins, Colorado; brothers, Larry Louden of Shriner, Texas, and Jerry Louden of Palestine, Texas; sister Becky Louden of Stonewall, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Mara, Raymond Wallace, Caleb Stewart, Thomas Tullus, Russell Shoemake and Sam McDonald.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
