Patricia Lowery

January 27, 1938 — June 18, 2025

Lufkin, TX

Patricia Lowery, 87, of Lufkin died Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at her residence. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lowery was born January 27, 1938 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Beulah (Hutson) and Clyde O’Neil Goins. She followed her husband of 67 years, Phillip, all around the world while he served in the U.S. Army. One son, Phillip, was born in France. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Lowery had aspirations to become a nurse. This didn’t come to pass, but she was an avid fisherman, unparalleled candy maker, an amazing seamstress, made the best blackberry cobbler and banana pudding this side of the Mississippi, and her chocolate pudding was to die for. She was an avid shopper and would buy anything saying “Well, somebody can use that!” She had a big heart, always finding things in the stores for others. Mrs. Lowery was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Phillip Joseph Lowery, Jr. of Lufkin; daughter, Carla Lowery Williams of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip Joseph III and Karen Lowery of McKinney, and Clyde Neil and Angela Lowery of Ocala, Florida; grandchildren and spouses, Randall Wade and Staci Williams of Nacogdoches, Phillip Joseph IV and Brandy Lowery of Colorado, Cecile and Thomas Mahoney of McKinney, Jessie and Amazing Grace Williams of Broaddus, Andrew and Sarah Lowery of Ocala, Florida, and David Lowery of Colorado; eight great-grandchildren; special friend, Amy Tennant; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Darrin Lowery and David Lowery; son-in-law, Wilber Williams; and brothers and sisters, Clifford Eugene Goins, Clydelle Goins, James Goins, Frankie Tobias, Virginia McAdams, Beulah Ann Dawson, Joyce Crager, Jack Goins, Freddie Goins, and Larry Goins.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
