Patricia Alice Kroupa

Memorial services for Patricia Alice Kroupa, 69, of Zavalla will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Martin Baker officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kroupa was born March 1, 1952 in Denver City, Texas to the late Edna Ruth (Baker) and Jack D’War Poor, and died Friday, January 7, 2022 at her residence.

Formerly of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Mrs. Kroupa had resided in Zavalla since April 2017. She served in the U.S. Army and was a Veterans Service Officer to Minnehaha County, South Dakota for 32 years. She enjoyed scrapbooking and cross stitching, and enjoyed spending time with family. While in Sioux Falls she was very active in her church, Sioux Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Kroupa of Zavalla; sons, David Kroupa of Bellview, Nebraska, Adam Kroupa and Max Kroupa, both of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; granddaughter, Alexis Kroupa of Omaha, Nebraska; grandson, Ryan Kroupa of Bellview, Nebraska; sister, Jackie Smook of Zavalla; niece, Tricia Ceretti and husband Pete of Abington, Pennsylvania; and great-nephew, Attilio Ceretti of Abington, Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening prior to the services.
