Memorial services for Patricia Griffin, 77, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington. Brother William “Willie” Wooten of Shawnee Prairie Church in Huntington will be officiating her memorial service. Family will gather at the Griffin Home - address is 326 Hosea Forest Road, Huntington, Texas 75949. The gathering for food and remembrance is open to all following directly after the service. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Patricia Griffin was born at Woodland Heights in Lufkin, Texas to Audrey Faye Lyles and father on July 4, 1946, and died at CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial in Lufkin Texas under the care of Hospice in the Pines Friday, December 8, 2023.

Patricia loved her family and leaves behind her husband, Nathan “Moe” Griffin; daughter, Chelley Buffington and son-in-law, Dwayne Buffington; daughter, Cindi Kasier and son-in-law, Joe Kasier; son, David Griffin; grandchildren, Fawn and Scott Zion, Dustin and Lura Leggett, and Skyler Smith; great-grandchildren, Hannah Zion, Hunter Zion, Hallie Zion, and Jensen Leggett; as well as her special friend, Michelle Merchant.

Patricia was employed at Three Star Supply Company. She worked as a Sales Representative for many years. She enjoyed every moment on the job and was accomplished in her field. She enjoyed farming, her many dogs, and other animals. She also liked the outdoors and the blissfulness of nature. She loved cooking for her family and friends. Her family loved it too.

Patricia held a membership at First Ora Missionary Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey Faye Lyles; daughter, Tricia Cochran; daughter, Victoria Cochran; and numerous friends and family. She will be reunited with Jesus and all of her loved ones upon entering the gates of Heaven.

When her mother was in her last days Chelley asked her mother to send her a sign that she had made it to Heaven with Jesus; on the day that she took her last breath her nurse aide through Hospice, Justina, delivered the specific sign Chelley had asked for - butterflies - her scrubs were covered in them on that day. A special thanks from the family goes to Dr. Karl Krohn and his staff. Also, special thanks to Hospice in the Pines for all of their love and care.
