Patricia Ann Bridwell

Funeral services for Patricia Ann Bridwell, 73, of Hudson will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Cindy Doran officiating. Interment will follow in the Aldredge Cemetery.

Mrs. Bridwell was born December 9, 1949 in Lufkin, Texas and died Thursday, October 19, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Bridwell resided in Angelina County all of her life. She worked at Lancewood Mini Mart for many years and later worked as a bus monitor for Hudson School. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She loved lots of animals over the years, but especially her four dogs who were so much company to her after the death of her husband, Byron “B.C.” Bridwell, Jr., whom she was married to for 36 years.

Survivors include her daughter, Deidra “Dee Dee” Hamel of Lufkin; stepsons, Wade Bridwell and wife Holly of Hudson, Aleck K. Bridwell of Lufkin; granddaughter, Ashley Hamel of Houston; grandson, Ryan Hamel of Portland; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Raymond and Ruby Mae (Havard) Read; and brother, Rayburn Read.

Pallbearers will be Greg Williams, Mason Vela, Royce Adkinson, Jr., Lane Bass,  Andrew Bass, and Mario Gonzalez.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Winnie Berry Humane Society of Angelina County, 1102 N. John Redditt Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
