Pat Grimes

Funeral services for Pat Grimes, 75, of Lufkin will be held Monday, February 9, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Richard Owen officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Grimes was born April 1, 1950 in Lake Jackson, Texas to the late Loraine (Bargaineer) and Knowles Earl Leonard, Jr., and died Thursday, February 5, 2026 at her residence.

Pat had resided in Lufkin most of her life. She enjoyed growing various types of plants and loved to bake for her family. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her pride and joy. Pat especially enjoyed time spent with her sisters. She was a member of Solid Rock Family Church.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Robert Grimes; daughters, Connie Russell and husband Billy Jack, Gail Plopper and husband Doug, Jr.; grandchildren, Chris Plopper, Jarod Russell and wife Amanda, Cody Plopper, Kirstie Aitken and husband Zach, Billy Wayne Russell and wife Morgan, Kiley Wise and husband Cody, Brooke Johnson and husband Chris, Destiny Gregory and husband Trey; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Jones, Jean Norman and husband Mike, Cindy Nicolas and husband Rick; brother, David Hutchins; sister-in-law, Carla Leonard; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Robert Grimes, Jr.; great-grandson, Lake Wise; sister, Joyce Adkins; and brothers, Knowles Earl Leonard III, Richard Leonard, and Jerry Leonard.

Pallbearers will be Jarod Russell, Billy Wayne Russell, Brett Blackburn, Corey Hines, Chris Plopper, and Cody Plopper.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Nicolas, Charles Lawrence, and Justin Morehead.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon prior to the service.
