Pamela Carol Wise

Funeral services for Pamela Carol Wise, 60, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Lamar Merritt officiating. Interment will follow in Rocky Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Wise was born June 20, 1963 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Carolyn (Brown) and David Shepherd, and died peacefully surrounded by family Thursday, February 1, 2024 in a Houston hospital.

Mrs. Wise was a resilient woman with a heart of gold. She was a devoted wife, spending 28 years with the love of her life, and a mother, whose love knew no bounds. She would do anything for her family and friends, even if it meant her doing without. She enjoyed hunting and fishing and knew her way around a kitchen. She was the funniest person in the room, and at times the most stubborn too. It was a blessing to have her in your life, and she will be missed immensely.

Survivors include her husband, Jeff Wise of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Lindsey and Jeff Mayes of Porter, Tiffany and Christopher Baker of Hudson, Florida, and Jessica Jenkins of Lufkin; grandchildren, Lexi Jenkins, Lathan Jenkins, Levi Lovelady, and Gabriel Baker; brother, and sister-in-law, David and DeAnne Shepherd of Lufkin; mother-in-law, Audrey Wise Steptoe; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Melody Wise and Rhonda and Brad Weaver; brother-in-law, Jerry Matthew Wise; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Cody Wise, Brian Arndt, Zachary Bryan, Trent Bryan, Logan Pleasant, and Richard Ayers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Matthew Wise and Christopher Baker.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
