Opal Inez Floyd

Private graveside services for Opal Inez Floyd, 99, of Pollok will be held in the Aldredge Cemetery with Brother Richard Carter officiating.

Mrs. Floyd was born February 22, 1922 in Panola County, Texas to the late Mary Nannie (Sipes) and Joe Armstrong, and died Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in a facility in Nacogdoches.

Mrs. Floyd was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She wasn’t afraid of hard work and in her early years she could be found working alongside her husband in their gardens. She absolutely loved her dogs, who were always her faithful companions. In her later years, her journey in life led her to the Lord, and she found a great joy and deep love for our God that brought her such comfort, and for that we are blessed. She will be missed dearly.

She is survived by a number of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Lewis Floyd; and sons, Marvin Junior Floyd and Delbert Eugene Floyd.
