Oma Lu Faris

Funeral services for Oma Lu Faris, 88, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Fielder Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Faris was born May 19, 1933 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Velma Lee (Cheatum) and John Hardy Fredregill, and died Monday, October 4, 2021 at her residence. She retired as Office Manager from Houston Lighting & Power. Mrs. Faris enjoyed fishing, going to casinos, and watching her grandsons play sports.

Survivors include her sons, Tiki Faris of Lufkin and Warren Faris of Houston; grandsons, Steve Faris of Lufkin, Jeff Faris and wife Marlana of LaPorte, Sean Faris and wife Cherie of Los Angeles, California; granddaughters, Christine Faris of Lufkin, Erica Ramirez and husband Nick of Houston; five great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; sister, Jean Mills of Lufkin; one niece; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Warren Faris.

Pallbearers will be Steve Faris, Jeff Faris, Sean Faris, Britton Mills, Jeremiah Faris, and Zack Faris.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the services.
