Ollie Bundrick was born in Apple Springs, Texas, July 12, 1936, to Thomas Fred Noble Ladd and Garvis Virgie (Burnett) Ladd. Ollie went on ahead of us to be with her Lord October 8, 2026, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

She is preceded in death by her forever love, her husband of sixty years, Gerald Max Bundrick.

Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Marilyn Higginbotham and Vicki and Jerry L. Harris; son and daughter-in-law, Travis G. and Betty Bundrick; grandchildren, Amber and Chris Irving, Bobby and Kelli Higginbotham, Christi and Mark Rich, John and Lisa Harris, Mandi and Matt Riley, and April and Robert Stephens. Ollie was blessed with twenty great-grandchildren. Ollie was the middle of seven children and is survived by two sisters, Daisy Anthony and Nita Lewis, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by one sister, Fannie Ladd Cox; three brothers, Thomas, B.C., and Bobby Ladd; and her son-in-law, Bob Higginbotham.

In addition to her favorite role as wife, mother, and devoted homemaker, Ollie worked for many years at Sears and the Texas Highway Department. She and Gerald were long-time members of Calvary Baptist Church in Lufkin and Ollie was much loved by the ladies she taught in Sunday School. She was very proud of her family and her twenty years of service as a United States Air Force wife. Ollie loved nature, especially trees, and she collected rocks, shells, and petrified wood during her many travels with Gerald. She loved to read and always had a positive, accepting, and gracious spirit with those she loved most.

Ollie’s grandsons will be honorary pallbearers: Bobby Higginbotham, Chris Irving, Mark Rich, John Harris, Matt Riley, and Robert Stephens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Houston & Southeast Chapter, 6055 South Loop E, Houston, Texas 77087, or the charity of your choice.
