Ola Marie (Brock) Aldredge

Funeral services for Ola Marie (Brock) Aldredge, 72, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Cory Capps officiating. Interment will follow in the Shofner Cemetery.

Ms. Aldredge was born May 30, 1950 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Ola Dee (Alexander) and William Franklin Brock, and died Wednesday, February 8, 2023 in a local hospital.

Ola was an avid deer hunter and loved just being out at the deer camp with friends. She found great joy in being a foster grandmother and made such a difference in many children’s lives.

Survivors include her daughter Brandie Richard and husband Jeff; grandson, Jackson Richard; brother, Roland Brock; sister, Carolyn Lee and husband James; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Franklin Matchett; son, David C. Aldredge; sisters, Helen Luce and Robbie Sterling; and brothers, James Brock and W.H. “Chicken” Brock.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon prior to the service.
