O.C. "Cliff" Pinckard, Jr.

Funeral services for O.C. “Cliff” Pinckard, Jr., 79, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Clawson Assembly of God with Pastor Kevin Poage officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow in the Largent Cemetery.

Cliff was born March 4, 1938 in Polk County, Texas to the late Katherine (Nettles) and Ollie Clifton Pinckard, Sr., and died Saturday, October 7, 2017 at his residence.

Cliff resided in Lufkin for 50 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from the Lufkin Police Department. He enjoyed woodworking, or always had an ongoing project. He was an active member of Clawson Assembly of God where he and his wife Faye volunteered and supported many ministries.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Pinckard of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Cyndi and Charlie Ricks of Lufkin, Sharon and Gary Cresswell of Amherst, Maine, and Terrie and Jimmy Pridgeon of Lufkin; grandchildren, Michael Ricks, Justin DuBose and wife Dellacy, Leslie Ricks and wife Sam, all of Lufkin, Westley Ellington and wife Vanessa of Amherst, Maine, Nicki Lazarine and husband Derek of Tyler, Jason DuBose of Lufkin, and Ben, Dan and Kayleigh Cresswell of England; great-grandchildren, Hailey Ricks, Kayetlynn Ricks, Kimberly Ricks, Georgia DuBose, Mason Ellington, Ryder Lazarine, and Victoria Lazarine; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and John Reinbeck of Sealy and Barbara and Don Westbrook of Livingston; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sherry Hall; and brothers, Edgar Pinckard and Jimmy Pinckard.

Pallbearers will be Michael Ricks, Westley Ellington, Leslie Ricks, Nicki Lazarine, Derek Lazarine, and Jim Pinckard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Justin DuBose, Jason DuBose, and the members of his Sunday school class at Clawson Assembly of God.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
