Graveside services for Novelle Day Trapasso, 99, of Beaumont, Texas will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Dunk Havard Cemetery in Zavalla with Brother Carey Modisett officiating.

Novelle was born January 3, 1925, in Manning, Texas to the late Ruby (Tatum) and Leon Day, and passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024 in Beaumont, Texas.

Novelle was a loving, faithful wife, a very kind and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved the Lord Jesus for almost ninety years of her life. She was a quiet and gentle soul who minded her own business and did not  gossip about other people. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her son, Michael Leon Trapasso; daughter, Carey Jo Hawa; grandchildren, Hunter Travis Hawa, Jeremy James Hawa, Joseph Michael Trapasso, John Michael Trapasso, Tabitha Novelle Trapasso,  and Mary Katherine Trapasso; great-grandchildren, Race Hawa, Paxton Hawa, Paisley Hawa, Rocky Hawa and Ripley Hawa.

Novelle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Antonio Trapasso in 2006; her infant son, Reynard Keith Trapasso; and sisters, Fannie Richardson, Gladys Havard, Lulu Paige and Catherine Thompson.
