Norris Joe Dunn

Memorial services for Norris Joe Dunn, 81, of Buna, formerly of Hudson, will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother H. Lynn Fontenot officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Dunn was born August 1, 1942 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Nettie (Gibson) and Clifton Dunn, and died Sunday, June 2, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Dunn resided in Hudson most of his life and had lived in Buna for six years. He retired as a paper maker from the Abitibi Paper Mill following 27 years of employment. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Joyce (Jumper) Dunn of Buna; sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Vicki Dunn of Lumberton, and Jeffery and Brandy Dunn of Buna; grandchildren and spouses, Kimberly and Joey Palacio, Zackery Dunn, Jacob and Jordyn Dunn, Sarah Dunn, Lacy and Ray Mirabella, and J.P. and Krissy Proctor; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Dunn; brother, Willie E. Dunn; and sister, Minnie Lee Bodie.

Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Wise, Tony Wise, Roland Nelson, Todd Rouse, Shawn Kaemmerling, Dobber Bass, and Brayden Dunn.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the services.
