Norma Jean Pearson, 99, of Lufkin died Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at her residence. Private family graveside services will be held at Prairie Point Cemetery in Kerens, Texas with Reverend Jack Knox officiating.

Mrs. Pearson was born August 13, 1927 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Fleeta Leona (Lowry) and Fred Hunter. She was a homemaker and loved to paint and play golf. Mrs. Pearson was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Jody Pearson of Lufkin, and W.J. and Emma Gourley of Granbury; daughter, Gayle Brent of Lufkin; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Pearson; stepfather, Franklin Bickford; son-in-law, Dan Brent; daughter-in-law, Jodi Pearson; sister, Marilyn; and nephew, Kenneth May.
