Funeral services for Norma Louise McShan Parker, 72, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bryan Lipscomb officiating. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nacogdoches.
Mrs. Parker was born March 11, 1945 in Cleveland, Texas to the late Sarah Valrie (Johnson) and James Andrew “Jim” McShan, and died Thursday, October 19, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Parker had resided in Lufkin for 36 years. She graduated from Angelina College in 1995 with an Associates Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and was a teachers’ aide at Central ISD for 19 years. Mrs. Parker enjoyed singing, reading and cooking. She was a loving grandmother and loved baking cookies at Christmas with her grandchildren and sewing for the girls. Family was very important to her. Mrs. Parker was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Welton W. Parker of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Robert Sebaugh and Diana and Kevin Snook, all of Livingston; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Shona Parker of Leander; grandchildren, Andrew Sebaugh of Livingston, Natalie Duff and husband Adam of Chester, Tyler Themis, Ashlyn Parker, Kayla Parker, Blake Parker, all of Leander, Dylan Snook and Ryan Snook, both of Livingston; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Sarah McShan of Nacogdoches; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Errol Duplantis of Houma, Louisiana; brother-in-law, Buddy Parrott of Nacogdoches; special family, Rodney and Tammy Robison and sons Jeremy, Joshua and Jacob, all of Nacogdoches; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Billy Lee McShan; and sister, Judy Robison Parrott.
Pallbearers will be Robert Sebaugh, Andrew Sebaugh, Adam Duff, Jacob Robison, Jeremy Robison, and Tyler Themis.
Honorary pallbearer will be Don Bridges.
Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Baptist Church, 4423 Ted Trout Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
