Neri Lee Tamez

Mass of Christian Burial for Neri Lee Tamez, 48, of Diboll will be held Monday, March 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Fr. Louis Fernando officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel.

Ms. Tamez was born October 2, 1969 in Raymondville, Texas, and died Saturday, March 10, 2018 at her residence.

Ms. Tamez was a teacher for the Even Start Childcare at Diboll ISD. She enjoyed listening to music, cooking, baking, going to events, sports (especially the Dallas Cowboys), and spending time with family, including her daughters Brittany and Amanda that she loved so much. They were her pride and joy. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Brittany Esparza and Amanda Esparza, both of Diboll; parents, Martin, Sr. and Rosa (Hernandez) Tamez of Diboll; sisters, Cynthia Tamez and Mary Elizabeth Tamez, both of Diboll; brothers and sister-in-law, Martin Tamez, Jr. of Diboll, Randall Tamez of Redland, and Donald and Judy Tamez of Lufkin; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Martin Tamez, Sr., Mary Elizabeth Tamez, Martin Tamez, Jr., Donald Tamez, Gilley Hernandez, and Rudy Tamez, Jr.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
