Nelda (Cutler) English

Graveside services for Nelda (Cutler) English, 77, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. in the Ivie Cemetery in Houston County with Dr. Mark Livingston officiating.

Mrs. English was born November 6, 1941 in Grapeland, Texas to the late Alma (Lock) and Elmer Cutler, and died Friday, January 18, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. English was the Office Manager at English Drilling for more than 60 years. She graduated from Angelina College in 1976 as a Registered Nurse and worked at Woodland Heights for 30 years. She farmed with her husband, Reagan, every Saturday and her favorite thing to do was cleaning and burning brush. Mrs. English always found joy in most of life’s situations and was often called “Crazy Nell”. She was a member of Keltys First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Donald English and Jimmy English and wife Shanna, all of Lufkin; grandsons, Andrew English of Lufkin and Luke English of Nacogdoches; granddaughter, Amanda Martin and husband Grant of Lindale; great-grandchildren, Abby Martin and Ada Martin, both of Lindale; brothers-in-law, Rex English and wife Ann of Kennard and David English and wife Vicki of Beaumont; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, Reagan English; siblings, Ruth Ruby, Donald Cutler, Bettie Montgomery, Glenn Cutler, and Nina Mossington.

Pallbearers will be Donald English, Jimmy English, Luke English, Andrew English, and Grant Martin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Landers, Richard Willey, and Craig Ruby.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Keltys First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 3043, Lufkin, Texas 75903.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 at Keltys First Baptist Church.
