Nedra Turner

Memorial services for Nedra Turner, 84, of Wells will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Turner was born May 2, 1939 in Stephenville, Texas to the late Annie Ruth (Skiles) and Ned Orient Ellichman, and died Friday, May 19, 2023 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Turner was a homemaker most of her life with her time spent loving and caring for her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her “GiGi”. She enjoyed going to pageants and other activities they were participating in. She enjoyed gardening, and particularly loved her flowers. She was known for her beautiful Irises which she planted wherever she lived. She also enjoyed canning, sewing, and needlepoint .

Survivors include her daughter, Michele Melton of Wells; son, James Turner and wife Monica of Austin; grandchildren, Tristan Melton, Gabriella Melton, Cameron Hite, Trace Turner, Kira Turner, Curtis Turner; great-grandchildren, Chase Melton, Cailen Melton; sister, Lena Ellichman; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Wayne Turner; and brother,  Ernest Everitt Ellichman.
