Misty Marie Modisette

Misty Marie Modisette, 49, of Broaddus died Saturday, September 24, 2022 at her residence. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Misty was born November 20, 1972 in Lufkin, Texas to Margaret Lee (Richards) and George E. Kessinger.

Misty loved to craft, cook for her family, and was an avid reader. She doted on her fur-babies, Sammy and Beluga. Misty was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend, but her greatest joy in life were her grandchildren. They were the light of her life and they will miss her dearly.

Survivors include her husband Tommie Modisette of Broaddus; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Kirstein Weeks of Nederland; daughter, April Kessinger of Nederland; grandsons, Porter Weeks, Reid Weeks, Oliver Esclovon, all of Nederland; father and stepmother, George and Teresa Kessinger of Diboll; stepdaughter, Jennifer Kupec of Wells; brother, George Dewayne Kessinger of Diboll and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Richards; and granddaughter in 2012, Emma Weeks.
