Minnie Lee Kirkland

Funeral services for Minnie Lee Kirkland, 81, of Huntington will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Larry Innerarity officiating. Interment will follow in the Ozias Cemetery.

Mrs. Kirkland was born July 13, 1943 in Orange, Texas to the late Hazel Dale (Colwell) and Minor Leroy Barnett, and died Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in a Nacogdoches hospital.

Minnie had worked at Brookshire Brothers as a Payroll Clerk for more than 20 years. In her spare time she enjoyed reading. She loved cooking Sunday dinners and spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. Minnie was a member of Ozias Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Alisa Kirkland of Huntington; daughter-in-law, Cathy Kirkland of Huntington; daughter of heart, Lisa Buckner and husband Tony of Lufkin; grandchildren, Johnathan Arriola, Crystal Sepulvado, Casey Dennis, Callie Arriola, Chase Arriola, Amy Pinner, Amber Kirkland, Abby Page, Bunk Butler, Belinda Kervin; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Ranger, Remi, Carter, Corlie, Cambrie, Emmett, Maudie, Miley, Jacob, Bailey, Avery, Addy, Caleb; special niece, Karen Crocker; special nephew, Dale Kirkland; sister, Nelwin Joyce Burris; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tommy Edward Kirkland; son, Edward Kirkland; and brothers, James Garland Barnett and Jack Wade Barnett.

Pallbearers will be Billy Kirkland, Chase Arriola, Tell Pinner, Shane Sepulvado, Jack Page, Bunk Butler, and Ricky Page.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Buckner, Johnathan Arriola, Dale Kirkland, Zack Dennis, Carter Rodriguez, Ryder Sepulvado, and Ranger Bob.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
