Milton Eddie Wade was born July 20, 1960, in Houston, Texas to the late Verdis L. Wade and Edna Opal Crabb, and passed away on November 13, 2025 in Spring, Texas.
Milton graduated from Sam Houston High School in Houston, Texas in 1978. He then married his high school sweetheart, Vicki Denise Jones on August 1, 1980. Together they had two daughters, five granddaughters, a grandson, and two great-grandchildren.
Milton passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. He was known for his steadfast faith, commitment to his work and his deep love for his family, community, and the simple joys of life.
The most important decision Milton made was when he asked Jesus into his heart and surrendered his life to Him at the age of 18 while attending Bauman Road Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. Milton followed Christ, and it was evident in the way he lived his life every day. His unwavering faith in the Lord guided his life, pointing others to his Savior. He served as a deacon at both Keltys First Baptist Church and Huntington First Baptist Church. He also taught Sunday School and served in the youth ministry for many years.
For 42 years, Milton built a distinguished career with the Southern Pacific and Union Pacific Railroad. His colleagues remember him as a reliable and hardworking professional who took immense pride in his role, mentoring many along the way. His decades of service stand as a testament to his work ethic and loyalty.
Milton found great joy in the outdoors and was an avid golfer and hunter. He treasured his weekly golf game and tournaments played with friends. He loved spending time at the deer lease, hunting and sharing stories and laughing with friends old and new. His appreciation for sports extended to cheering on his favorite teams and participating in community events, always fostering a spirit of friendly competition and fellowship.
Milton cherished spending time with his family and friends. Whether gathered around the dinner table or enjoying a quiet afternoon together, he created memories filled with warmth, laughter, and love. His presence was a source of comfort and strength, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
