Mildred Faye Hughes Faulkner

Funeral services for Mildred Faye Hughes Faulkner, 92, of Corrigan, formerly of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Pastor Charlie Hodge officiating. Interment will follow the services.

Mrs. Faulkner was born September 21, 1925 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Mae Belle (Shoemaker) and Marcellus D. Womack, and died Monday, December 18, 2017 in Corrigan. She was a member of Keltys First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Marlin Wayne and Virginia Hughes of Corrigan; grandsons and wives, Ken and Sherry Hughes, Matt and Nikki Hughes, all of Corrigan; great-granddaughters, Makenna Hughes, Micah Hughes, Briley Hughes, and Taylor Handley; sister, Margie Kirkland of Lufkin; stepbrother and sister-in-law, John and Judy Popham of Fort Worth; stepson and stepdaughters-in-law, Gary and Kathy Faulkner and Judy Faulkner, all of Houston; niece, Emily Shimer and husband George of Lufkin; nephew, Ben Kirkland and wife Gabrielle of California; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and three step-grandchildren, Michael, Julie and Betsy Fae.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, M.C. Hughes; second husband, Clint Faulkner; and stepson, Clint Faulkner, Jr.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
