Mike "Pop" Hartman

Funeral services for Mike “Pop” Hartman, 77, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Gary Trevino officiating.

Mr. Hartman was born August 25, 1941 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Helen (Jackson) and Samuel Patrick Hartman, and died Saturday, January 26, 2019 in a local hospital. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Lufkin Industries. Mr. Hartman attended St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Verline Hartman; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Pat Hartman and Jack Hartman; and close family friend, Kenneth Hickman.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904 or Heart to Heart Hospice, 209 Christie Street, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon prior to the services.
