Michael Ray Murphy

Memorial services for Michael Ray Murphy, 77, of Corrigan will be held Friday, May 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Damascus Baptist Church with Brother Lesly Wilkinson officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Murphy was born December 2, 1948 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Ethel Patricia (Bloom) and Kenneth Murphy, and passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026 in his home.

Michael had resided in Corrigan for most of his life. He was a Sales Representative at Hydro-Tex for over 35 years.

Survivors include his children, Caleb Murphy and wife Amy of Needville, Texas, Jennifer Johns and husband William of Sumter, South Carolina, and Thomas Murphy and wife Breanna of Corrigan, Texas; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Danny Murphy.
