Michael Glen Gallard was born January 21, 1959 in Houston, Texas and passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 in a local hospital.
Mr. Gallard grew up in Houston. He went to Bammel Middle School and Spring High School where he played football and ran track, winning many medals. He loved serving the Lord. He was a member of Eastview United Pentecostal Church. He was a caring father, husband, grandfather, brother, son and friend. Those who knew him knew of his kind heart and his loving spirit. He loved the outdoors, his little dog Bella, and riding his Harley.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Wendy Gallard; sons, Dustin Gallard and wife Alesha, Matthew Gallard, David Gallard, and Timothy Carlson; grandchildren, Zoey Gallard, Kyndal Gallard and Wyatt Gallard; mother, Esther Lee (Smith) Gallard; siblings, Dan Gallard and wife Gloria, Gerald Gallard and wife Diane, Fred Gallard, Jr., Teresa McClain, and Stephanie Gallard; half-brother, Derick Martin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Milford Glen Franks; nephew, Joseph “Joey” Schmitte; and brother-in-law, Bobby Joe McClain.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Gallard, Matthew Gallard, David Gallard, Dan Gallard, Danny Briles, and Cody Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Gallard, John Royder and Louie Short.
Viewing will be held Friday, July 25, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home in Lufkin and services will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Hunt, Senior Pastor officiating. Graveside services will follow at Rocky Hill Cemetery in Huntington.
