Michael Lee Daniel

Graveside services with interment of cremains for Michael Lee Daniel, 68, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in Gann Cemetery with Brother Myrton Thompson officiating.

Mr. Daniel was born May 22, 1954 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Martha Ann (Herring) and Grover Cleo Daniel, and died December 28, 2022 in a local hospice facility.

Mr. Daniel had resided in Lufkin most of his life. He worked as a heavy equipment operator doing road construction for Jordan Paving for more than 20 years and was Manager of the VFW for over 20 years.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Matthew Shane Daniel and Michael Paul and Erica Ann Daniel, all of Hudson; grandchildren, Dusten Lee Daniel, Alayna Ann Daniel, and Kyle Gresham Daniel, all of Hudson; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Claude Daniel of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Morris James and Carolyn Daniel of Huntington and Norris Van and Darla Daniel of Nacogdoches; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
