Memorial services for Melissa McFarland, 59, of Baytown will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Horace Fletcher officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. McFarland was born May 9, 1958 in Longview, Texas to the late Norma Love (Feagin) and Norman Edward McFarland, and died Saturday, January 13, 2018 in a local hospice facility.

Mrs. McFarland had resided in Baytown for five years and was employed with H.B. Zachery Construction. She enjoyed fishing and was known as a good cook who enjoyed eating meals that she and her husband prepared together. Mrs. McFarland was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, John Mlinar of Baytown; daughter, Amy Aten of League City; sisters, Marsha Ivey and husband Thomas and Paulette Turner and husband Ray, all of Hudson; nieces and nephews, April and Bryan Irving, Adam and Jennifer Ivey, Ashley and Jason Bridges, Amber and Danny Beaver, Dawn and Jeff Smith, Randy and Angela Turner.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon prior to the services.
