Maxine Anna (Trull) Rule Turner

Funeral services for Maxine Anna (Trull) Rule Turner, 99, a longtime resident of Craig, Colorado, currently of Pollok, Texas will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Cross Timbers Cowboy Church with Pastor Jim Hendricks officiating. Interment will follow in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Maxine was born April 7, 1924 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado to the late Ed and Florence Trull, and went home to be with the Lord Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Lufkin, Texas.

Maxine married the love of her life, Raymond Rule, at the age of 18 and they had five sons. She later married Charles Turner. Maxine played the drums in high school and in a band that played at dances around the community. She worked hard at whatever was before her. Maxine was instrumental in getting Horizons for the Handicapped established. She retired from the telephone company, attended community college for several years, and worked at a Law office. She enjoyed being part of many spiritual groups, exercise classes, dance classes and going on seniors’ trips. She always had a smile on her face and knew no strangers. Maxine touched everyone who knew her in some way.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Darrel and Tori Rule of Grand Junction, Colorado, Roger and Janet Rule of Lufkin, Texas, Bruce Rule of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Raymond Rule and Charles Turner; sons, Delbert Rule, Larry Rule; grandson, Darren Cullen; great-great-grandson, Lane Cullen; and brothers, Clyde Trull and Glen Trull.
