Mary Jo (Golden) Chambers

Graveside services for Mary Jo (Golden) Chambers, 78, of Huntington, will be held Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Bronson Cemetery located in Bronson, Texas with Pastor Jamie Pittman officiating. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon prior to the service.

Mrs. Chambers was born July 28, 1940, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of the late Vinnie (Bennett) and Louie Golden.  She died Sunday, January 13, 2019 in a Lufkin hospital.

Mrs. Chambers was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was of the Christian faith and was deeply religious. She loved to cook and bake, and made very good fried pies. Mrs. Chambers was also very musically-inclined, and played both the guitar and steel guitar.

Survivors include her children, David Chambers and wife Dottie of Huntington, Cathy Chambers of Lufkin, Curtis Chambers of Livingston, and Paul Chambers of Rochester, New York; grandchildren, Chris Chambers, Heather Wright and husband Billy, Darrell Chambers, Nathan Chambers, Kevin Chambers, Sequya Chambers, Tristan Chambers, Calvin Chambers, Angela Phillippi, Kimberly Vaughn, Melissa Henson, and Vanessa Banfield and husband Nathan; eighteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Chambers was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Esko Chambers; daughters, Marion Chambers and Sharon Chambers; one brother; and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be David Chambers, Nathan Chambers, Kevin Chambers, Tristan Chambers, Michael Henson, and Darrell Chambers.
