Graveside services for Mary Lou Havard, 92, of Huntington will be held Monday, May 1, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Ben Walker Cemetery with Brother Vic Bass officiating.
Mrs. Havard was born May 3, 1930 in Huntington, Texas to the late Effie (Walker) and B.W. Horton, and died Thursday, April 27, 2023 at her residence.
Mrs. Havard was a beautician for more than 20 years. She enjoyed antiquing, gardening and talking on the phone. She loved her jewelry, and was an animal lover, especially Chico and LouLou. Mrs. Havard was a member of Lala Hill Baptist Church for many, many years.
Survivors include her grandsons and wives, Glenn and Connie Choate, Lane and Kim Barnett; great-grandchildren and spouses, Kristyn and Justin Terry, Heather Choate, McKayla and Boston Lesjak, Colton and Summer Pierce, and Judy Barnett; great-great-grandchildren, Tatum Terry, Peyton Terry, Hattie Choate, Brianna Lesjak, Emberly Lesjak, Isabell Pierce, and Sadie Pierce; sisters and brother-in-law, Jodie Daniels and Yvonne and B.D. Marshall; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of more than 50 years, L.T. Havard; daughter, Judy Ann Barnett; grandson, Jarrod “Heath” Choate; brothers, Burl Horton and Lindburgh Horton; and sisters, Glennis Dominey and Sue Horton.
