Mary A. Golden

Funeral services for Mary A. Golden, 80, of Huntington will be held Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Pine Forest Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Burl McBride III officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.

Mrs. Golden was born April 25, 1938 in Huntington, Texas to the late Margaret (Clevenger) and Albert Dennis Bryan, and died Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Golden had resided in Huntington all of her life. She graduated from Huntington High School, Pineywoods Business College, and attended Jacksonville College. She was a secretary for multiple doctors’ offices and also at Lufkin Foundry. She loved flowers, enjoyed working in the yard and sewing. Most of all she loved being a mother and grandmother. She was a member of Pine Forest Missionary Baptist Church and loved her Lord and going to church.

Survivors include her husband, James W. Golden of Huntington; sons, Michael Golden and wife Lanette and David Golden and wife Mary, all of Huntington; grandchildren, Dustin Golden of Huntington, Tiffany Golden of Houston, Brandi Harris and husband Aaron, Alyssa Golden, Cord Sheard, Macy Frazier and husband Malachi, all of Huntington; great-grandchildren, Hayden Tyer, Riley Tyer, McKenzie Harris, Landon Harris, and Hadley Frazier, all of Huntington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Golden, Aaron Harris, Rex Womack, Cord Sheard, Michael Rushing, and Aaron Oliver.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
