Mary O. Carver

Funeral services for Mary O. Carver, 81, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bill Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Carver was born May 19, 1938 in Maricopa, Arizona to the late Kittie Lou (Humphries) and Fred Lee Huggins, and died Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in a local hospital. She attended Hudson High School and resided in Lufkin most of her life. Mrs. Carver was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Dolores Stephens; daughter and son-in-law, Earline and Terry Hearn; stepson, Carl Carver; grandsons, Brian Stephens, Wesley Stephens, Jeffery Alvarez, Lynn Hearn, and Gary Hearn; granddaughters, Melissa Danaher, Heather Gilchrist, Haley Boaz, Amanda Harmon, and Ashley Hearn; eight great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Barbara Huggins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard D. Carver; daughter, Beverly Biggs; stepson, Chris Carver; and siblings, Inez, Juanita, Aileen, Betty, Fred, Jr., and Morris.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Stephens, Brian Stephens, Justice Stephens, Ty Danaher, Jeff Alvarez, Cody Danaher, and Burl Jones.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
