Mary Ann (Gaubert) Soignet, 70, of Pollok died Monday, July 17, 2017 at her residence. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Soignet was born November 28, 1946 in Thibodaux, Louisiana to the late Joyce Rita Mae (Ayo) and Lionel Julius Gaubert. A resident of Thibodaux most of her life, she had resided in Lufkin for 20 years. She enjoyed reading and smoking. Mrs. Soignet was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include her daughters, Vivian Dismer and husband John of Florida and Wanda Landry Vallejo and husband David of Houston; son, Dexter Al Neal and wife Melissa of Napoleonville, Louisiana; adopted daughter, Angie Warren and husband Jerry of Pollok; four grandsons; six granddaughters; seven great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; sister, Tammy Gaubert of Louisiana; brother, James Gaubert of Louisiana; three stepbrothers; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Richard Soignet; daughter, Robin Soignet; stepsons, Donald Soignet, Ronald Soignet, and Carldale Soignet; stepdaughter, Donna Sue Parr; sisters, Cathleen Tyler and Carolyn Gaubert; and brothers, Lionel Gaubert, Ellis Paul Gaubert, and Ray Charles Gaubert.
