Maria E. Rodriguez

Funeral services for Maria E. Rodriguez, 50, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Phil Corbett officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rodriguez was born March 10, 1968 in Zacatecas, Mexico to the late Guillerma (Saldivar) and Baldomero Rodriguez Casas, and died Saturday, February 9, 2019 in a local hospital. She had resided in Lufkin for 19 years. Mrs. Rodriguez was an exquisite cook. She loved her family and her home was open to everyone.

Survivors include her husband, Juan Alvarado of Lufkin; children, Jaime Zamarripa, Sonia Zamarripa, Tania Zamarripa, Omar Zamarripa, Mirka Zamarripa, Joey Alvarado, and Jason Alvarado, all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Gerardo Villanueva, Briana Villanueva, Annie Lazcano, Evelyn Zamarripa, Zaydee Alvarado, and Thiago Zamarripa, all of Lufkin; sisters, Margarita Rodriguez, Irma Rodriguez, Elvira Rodriguez, Estela Rodriguez, Letisia Rodriguez, Maria Angeles Rodriguez, Eva Rodriguez, and Sofia Rodriguez; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home, with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.
