Maria D. Mercado de Valdes

Funeral services for Maria D. Mercado de Valdes, 59, of Corrigan will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Corrigan. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. 

Maria was born March 24, 1967 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico to the late Beatriz Montoya and Guadalupe Mercado, and passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

Survivors include her husband, Andres Valdes of Corrigan; sons and daughters-in-law, Juan and Rosario Valdez, Jesus and Martha Valdez, all of Corrigan; grandchildren, Gilberto Valdez, Montzerat Valdez, Camila Valdez, and Nikki Valdez; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and four sisters.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
