Maria Antonia Martinez

Funeral services for Maria Antonia Martinez, 63, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Richardo Coss officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehouse Cemetery.

Mrs. Martinez was born August 10, 1960 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Paula (Beltran) and Primitivo Carrizales, and died Sunday, May 12, 2024 at her residence.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Jose Martinez; children and spouses, Luis and Edith Soto, Paloma and Roger Vargas, Jose and Krystal Martinez, and Miguel and Alma Martinez; grandchildren, Nicholas, Lorelia, Hans, Chloe, Caylee, Aiden, Giselle, Alex, Diana, Israel, Andrea, Andrew, Abigail, Analissa, Mikaela, and Mackenzie; mother, Paula Carrizales; brothers-in-law, Salvador Martinez and Guadalupe Martinez; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Primitivo Carrizales.

Pallbearers will be Roger Vargas, Luis Soto, Jose Martinez, Miguel Martinez, Alex Vargas, and Andrew Martinez.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
