Mass of Christian Burial for Maria Magdalena Fernandez, 73, of Corrigan will be held Friday, December 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Corrigan with Fr. Tarsisius Puling SVD officiating. Interment will follow in Union Springs Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the church.

Mrs. Fernandez was born July 22, 1947 in Zacatecas, Mexico to the late Maria (Carron) and Dolores Fernandez, and died Wednesday, December 16, 2020 in a local hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Andres Ramirez of Mexico; daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Ruperto Carbajal of Diboll, Osbelia and Antonio Carbajal of Corrigan; sons, Mario A. and Rosie Ramirez of Corrigan, Andres and Erica Ramirez of Lufkin, Alejandro and Fernanda Ramirez of Mexico, Hector Ramirez of Dallas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Agapita Fernandez of Mexico; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Mario A. Ramirez, Andres Ramirez, Hector Ramirez, Ruperto Carbajal, Jr., Mario Carbajal, Daniel Carbajal, Tony Carbajal, and Andres Ramirez, Jr.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Corrigan.
