Lufkin, Texas - Margie Dean Wilson, 87, found peace on Friday, January 23, 2026, following a lengthy battle with dementia.
She was born on September 24, 1938 in Redwater, Texas. Her parents were William Henry and Nancy Odell Shoemaker.
During her active years, Margie was known for her warm and friendly spirit, always ready with a smile and a helping hand. She had a generous heart and often volunteered at her church and in her community. She found great joy in crafting and in cooking, and she had a passion for treasure-hunting at garage sales. Those who knew her often said they could recognize her laugh anywhere.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Richard Jaramillo of Nacogdoches, JoAnn and Dennis Stephenson of Anahuac, and Faye Stephenson of Wallisville; eight grandchildren, Dustin Dunn and his wife Priscila Dunn, Kaitlyn Cox and her husband Jared Cox, Holly Smith and her husband Cody Smith, Phoebe Jaramillo, Michelle Richard, Jennifer Hernandez and her husband Adrean Hernandez, Eric Stephenson, and Corey Stephenson and his wife Shana Stephenson; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and brother, Kenneth Collins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elbert Wilson; her grandson, Dennis Allen Stephenson; and her granddaughter, Susie Stephenson.
Honorary pallbearers are Dustin Dunn, Richard Jaramillo, Jared Cox, Oscar Kelly, Michael Smith, and Tanner Dorsett.
Graveside services will be held at Holhausen-Darby Cemetery in Moscow, Texas, Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
