Lyle Kent Schwartz

Funeral services for Lyle Kent Schwartz, 67, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Cory Capps officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Lyle was born July 16, 1956 in Garden City, Kansas to Richard Schwartz and Nila (Hartman) Schwartz, and died Saturday, January 27, 2024 in Greenville, Texas. He was raised on the family farm in Alamota, Kansas with his younger brothers, Wayne Lynn and Brent Alan, and his grandparents, Victor and Alice (Block) Schwartz.

In 1998 Lyle met the love of his life, Tammy (Lambert) Schwartz, and they shared 25 beautiful years together. They were blessed with a son, Cody Alan Schwartz. He had resided in Lufkin for 20 years and was a truck driver. Lyle attended Shawnee Church of Jesus Christ.

Lyle is survived by his wife, Tammy Schwartz of Lufkin; son, Cody Alan Schwartz of Lufkin; daughters, Jessica Schwartz of Nebraska and Audry Schwartz of Kansas; son, Shannon Schwartz of Kansas; mother, Nila Schwartz of Jetmore, Kansas; brother, Wayne Schwartz and Kelly of Jetmore, Kansas; brothers and sisters-in-love, Ronnie and Monica Lambert, and Ben and Lavonda Lambert, all of Huntington; sister-in-love, Becky Lambert of Ganado; extended daughter, Casie Ray Rochelle of Huntington; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Lyle was preceded in death by his father, Richard Schwartz; brother, Brent Alan Schwartz; grandparents, Victor and Alice Schwartz; sister-in-love, Vicki Schwartz; cousin, Darrell Schwartz; parents-in-law, Linda and Jerry Vineyard and James Lambert; and brother-in-law, Jalon Harrison.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making contributions to Tammy Schwartz for funeral expenses. Memorial contributions may also be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the services.
