Lydia Acosta Medina

A visitation for Lydia Acosta Medina, 77, of Lufkin will be held Friday, July 25, 2025 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Medina was born October 7, 1947 in Raymondville, Texas to the late Juanita (Guadiana) and Alfredo Acosta, and died Monday, July 21, 2025 at her residence.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Donny and Ana Medina, Jesse Medina, Dion and Yesenia Medina; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Jane Constante, Flumencio Constante, Jose Constante, Maria Madkins, David Acosta, Ruben Acosta, Linda Espinoza, Margie Ramirez, Carmen Kyle; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jose Luis Medina; son, Robert Joe Medina; sister, Irma Sarmiento; and brothers, Alfredo Acosta, Jr., Guadalupe “Wally” Acosta, and Rene Acosta.
