Funeral services for Loydene “Denie” Wolfe Kendrick, 90, of Pasadena will be held Friday, February 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at South Main Baptist Church with Dr. Daniel Crowther and Dr. Ron Lyles officiating. A private family graveside will be at Forest Park East Cemetery.

Mrs. Kendrick was born June 19, 1935 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to the late Daisy Estelle (Little) and Loyd Washington Wolfe, and died Friday, February 13, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Kendrick attended and graduated from East Texas Baptist University in 1958. Later on she served as a board member at ETBU where she was awarded the Golden Blazer because of her contributions. She was a teacher at Jensen Elementary within the Pasadena Independent School District and retired in 1988. She was a member of the Pasadena Junior Forum and served on the board of the Union Baptist Center for Counseling. Mrs. Kendrick was a member of South Main Baptist Church.

Mrs. Kendrick had a multitude of interests that brought her joy. Whether she was tending to her beautiful garden, creating lovely needlepoint and cross-stitch pieces, or relaxing with a good book, she found delight in the little things. A true sports enthusiast, she cheered on her favorite teams, the Houston Astros and Houston Rockets. Known as the "hostess with the mostest," she loved entertaining friends and family.

Spending time at the farm with loved ones was one of her greatest joys. She adored playing with her wonderful 42 group, attending horse shows, and traveling with friends and family. Above all, her most treasured roles were as a mother, grandmother, and wife.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 63 years, Marshall H. Kendrick; son and daughter-in-law, Trey and Karen Kendrick; daughter, Brooke Kendrick Bennett; grandchildren and spouse, Patrick Kendrick, Emma Kate Kendrick, Brenan and Ryne Tupa, Sterling Bennett, and Grayson Bennett; great-granddaughter, Quinn Tupa; brother, David Wolfe; sister-in-law, Carolyn Carroway; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Betty Ruth Ousley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Ousley, Bob Ousley, Bill Ousley, Casey Phelan, John Bradley, Roy Carroway, Jr., and the Deacons of South Main Baptist Church.
